Introduction

Every human being makes mistakes and sometimes even the more serious ones just like Adam, Dahud, Yitsak, Shlomo, Peter, Paul and many others did. The Lord is The Only One who cannot make mistakes because He is Infinite and does not grope, the One who cannot learn more.

In this book, first we will show brother Branham himself talking about his own errors. He was nothing more than a man conceived in iniquity and born in sin. That is the reason why it happened that he lied just like anybody.

Secondly, we will show the mistakes he recognized and corrected by himself after the Holy Spirit has revealed them to him.

Thirdly, we will show the mistakes he did not correct but which were to be pointed out by the children of God who have the Surveillance Ministry, just as he had wished and recommended. Amen!

The purpose of all this is to show that William Branham was just a man of the same nature like us, as the scripture says: “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours” (James 5). And Branham was effectively the true Elijah the prophet.

I. THE PROPHET BRANHAM SPOKE OF MISTAKES MADE BY HIMSELF AND BY OTHER PROPHETS

Isaiah 55:1-11     

“Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the water, and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost!
² Why do you spend money for what is not bread? Your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance.
³ Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, so that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the trustworthy loyalty to David.
⁴ Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.
⁵ Behold, you will summon a nation you do not know, and a nation that did not know you will run to you, because of Adonai your God and the Holy One of Israel, for He has glorified you.”

⁶ Seek Adonai while He may be found, call on Him while He is near.^[b]
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous one his thoughts, let him return to Adonai, so He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
⁸ “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways.” It is a declaration of Adonai.
⁹ “For as the heavens are higher than earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
¹⁰ For as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without having watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to sow and bread to eat,
¹¹ so My word will be that goes out from My mouth. It will not return to Me in vain, but will accomplish what I intend, and will succeed in what I sent it for.

         

Rom. 11:33-36

³³ O the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how incomprehensible His ways!
³⁴ For “who has known the mind of Adonai, or who has been His counselor?”^[t]
35 Or “who has first given to Him, that it shall be repaid to him?”^[u]
36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.

¹⁴ Now a natural man does not accept the things of the Ruach Elohim, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 
¹⁵ But the one who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is discerned by no one.
¹⁶ “For who has known the mind of Adonai, that he will instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Messiah.

NOTES:
William Branham talk s about all kinds of mistakes and that says more. Mistakes were made in all the areas: mistakes in the behaviors as well as in the teaching or doctrines, including in the prophecy.

 

II. SOME RECOGNIZED ERRORS AND CORRECTED
 

1.  BEHAVIORALLY

In this chapter we will consider en two cases:
- At the border, he lied and was forced tocome back and correct
- At his home, he lied and made the wife lie and that infected his son Joseph in the case with the lawyers.

He testifies it: Example taken from "Total Deliverance"

60    I just had to do that. And I know that I did wrong; I lied, caused my wife to lie. I believe I told you about it here at the church. It was a few days not long ago; it's been about six weeks ago. The attorneys had me so tore up over this investigation, till I hardly knew where I was at. I'd just went home from the office to eat dinner, and the private phone number rang, and Meda went to answer the phone. She put her hand over it, said, "It's them attorneys again."
I said, "I couldn't stand another evening. My head feels like it's going off. I'm losing my mind, just pulling me this way and that way and this way." I said, "I can't stand it." And I jumped up, and I said, "Tell them I'm not in here," and run around behind the house.
When I come back, Meda's very conscientious of those things), she met me at the door, half crying; she said, "Bill, was that the right thing to do?"
You know how you are. I know how I am. I said, "Sure, I wasn't in here right then." I knew God had condemned me for it. I said, "I wasn't in here right then." Said, "But you was in here when he made the call."
64    That afternoon I went to pray for a sick baby. And before I left the house, the phone rang again and little Joseph run over and took ahold of the phone and said, "Daddy, you want me to tell them you're not here?" You see how sin corrupts, what a family that would finally be?
I John the 5th chapter and the 21st verse said, "If our hearts condemn us not, then we have confidence in God." But if our hearts condemn us, how can we have confidence in God? We know as long as we got sin that's not confessed, He'll never hear us. That's strong, but it--it--it's the church needs these things.
66    Then I started to pray for this baby. And when I started to lay my hands on it, the Lord rebuked me and said, "You told a lie, and you ain't fit to pray for that baby."
I turned away from the man; I said, "Sir, you just wait here. I've got something to make right."

I called up the attorney and went down to the office, called him in, and I said, "Look, sir, I told a lie. I had my wife to lie; she said I wasn't in there. And I run out behind the house." And I confessed it and told him about it. Walked up, put his hands on my shoulder, he said, "Brother Branham, I've always had confidence in you, but I got more than ever now. “A man”, he said, “that's willing to make right his wrongs...” And I told him, I said, "I started to pray for a baby and the Lord would just condemning my heart, because I knowed I'd done wrong."  (A.TOTAL.DELIVERANCE_  JEFF.IN  V-11 N-1  SUNDAY_  59-0712, Parag 60-70)

 

2. IN TERMS OF THE WORD OF THE LORD, THE BIBLE

This is where William Branham made a lot of mistakes. I would say, in almost on the ¾ of the Message. The Message being that of 7 Seals, including the big subject on "Marriage and Divorce", he was completely off!

This sentence coming out of the mouth of William Branham himself is not to be taken lightly but to be reconsidered more seriously when he says: "I was completely off", that is to say in general, on the whole line, he was really wrong, he says it himself. So it’s better now to see where those mistakes were made and what the corrective truths are. He personally admits that he was wrong.

The prophet receiving the Word revealed by the Spirit sees himself immediately as Adam, naked! Adam said: "I am naked and I hid!" Apostle Peter also recognized he was naked and threw himself into the water. When the Lord speaks, we must all see ourselves as naked! And all we need is to throw ourselves into the water and then dress in His presence. Amen
This is even the meaning of this Message: "... I advise you to buy from Me:

• Eyesalve anoint thine eyes with
• Gold tried in the fire …
• White raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and THAT THE SHAME OF THY NAKEDNESS DO NOT APPEAR”. (Rev. 3:14-20)

¹⁴ “And to the ^[i]angel of the church ^[j]of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 
¹⁵ “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 
¹⁶ So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither ^[k]cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 
¹⁷ Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 
¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 
¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.^[l] Therefore be ^[m]zealous and repent. 
²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. (Rev. 3:14-20)

Brother Branham did all of that too. Sometimes here sometimes there, neither hot nor cold. It is fulfilled with him in the sense that: he said one thing and then another; he brought out the language of unbelievers, and then the language of true believers. But it was this set that confused the false brothers, because they have the spirit of error. They love mistakes, they teach mistakes, since they don't have the Spirit of truth, they fight against it.

The teachings that Branham received were not only intended for the Church, but also and primarily for him the Messenger first. He too had to do violence to himself in order to receive understanding. Whether he understood or not, he still had to deliver the Message. Dan. 12, Rev. 7 etc. He was completely off. He says it himself:
“... it is also a teaching for me.”

For instance, The 7^th Seal

⁸ Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?”
⁹ And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 
¹⁰ Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. (Dan. 12:8-10)

¹³ Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”
¹⁴ And I said to him, ^[b]“Sir, you know.”So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Rev. 7:13-14)
 

39    Then just leaving it at that, and presuming that after a while we would preach on the Seals, not knowing what the Seals was.
40    I had my own idea, as every minister does, of reading maybe what other man had said; and believing as much as I possible, with them, on the things that they had drawed up, their conclusion. I had read the book of Mr. Smith, Uriah Smith, which is the Adventist teacher, and I had read his--his thoughts on it. And I had read Mr. Larkin. I had read, oh, so many different ones, of their commentaries on This. But, somehow or other'n, I thought I had a--a little view of it, myself, that might be of places different. But trying one time, just speaking three subjects, the first... or the four subjects of the four horse riders. 1. On the set of Seven Seals: THE LORD'S MESSAGE

Here he himself says he was wrong, completely off on all 7 seals, that is, on the whole message. If we agree that the message is revelation then let’s believe that Branham was not born with revelation. He received it when the 7 angels visited him, and then it was not February 28, 1963 nor March 17, 1963 when he preached on "the Breach between the Seven Church Ages and the Seven Seals", preceded by "God Hiding Himself In Simplicity, Then Revealing Himself In The Same" he was not yet in the truth. But on the 18th he received a portion of the truth, "the First Seal," while being in error about the rest of the seals. On the 19th, the portion of truth is added but for the rest of the seals he was still in error. In considering the seals there about now, you will notice that, even though he had received the revelation on the first seal, he was still in error about the 7 thunders and the seventh seal. God had not yet opened his mind and he thought he was going to know them. And he made a mistake in "the first seal" regarding the 7 thunders saying, in his opinion, that they would give the rapturing faith when the 7 seals and other mysteries are finished.

75 “And then there's coming forth seven mysterious thunders that's not even written at all. That's right. And I believe that through those seven thunders will be revealed in the last days in order to get the Bride together for rapturing faith…”

But until his death the 7 Thunders were not revealed and the Rapturing Faith was not given because Brother Branham was buried. Let us consider the last statement in "the seventh seal" where it summarizes the recognized and corrected errors. The Seven Seals as explained by the Spirit constitute the corrections of the Seven Seals speculated and presumed by Brother Branham before revelation.

Here is the evidence:

17  Now, I say this... Looking over old notes that I preached on many years ago, I was just coming in and saying what I thought was right and going on. It was away off of the line. And now, all four of them Seals, I had it in about twenty minute sermon. Oh... The four horse riders of Revelations, I throwed them all together, and said, "One horse went in white"; I said, "perhaps that's the--the--the early age. And next horse went in famine," and then on like that. But my, when the Word really was opened up, it was a hundred miles away from it. (THE.SEVENTH.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0324)

Thus he is saying here that by going through the old sermons or the old teachings brought by himself for he kept them. What he thought was right was not "THUS SAITH THE LORD", it was himself. Here he humbly confesses that he was wrong. When he said, " perhaps ... perhaps," it wasn't revelation, he was presuming. He said, " But my, when the Word really was opened up, it was a hundred miles away from it." In simple English it was: "I was very far away from the truth".

Let us read now paragraph 29:

29 Now, I want to make this real clear. Every time, every time that these Seals has come to the place, everything that I ever believed on them and has read of other people, has been contrary to what come to me in the room. (THE.SEVENTH.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0324E)

 

 

 

 

Notice:

We have to count the number of years.

In this clarity, the very subject of our critical teaching, is to guide the Lord's people in order to deliver them from the slavery of one man's errors, which he himself has confessed. Let us take the subject with the prophet Branham himself: The seventh seal, the last one. He said, every time (he repeats), "... every time the Seals (that is, the Seven), when they come to the place ..." This means it was the Lord who brought them to place, he did not know them. He (previously) had taken the first four seals together; and summed them up according to his guesses, the work of his thoughts! He was a man who was in the search for the truth who was speaking there.
“… Everything that I ever believed on them…” It was the way he used to believe, he believed. He said “EVERYTHING” and that means everything.
Behold the Message, the 7 seals are the End Time Message, the 7 seals Message (Dan.12: 4): The "Marriage and Divorce", "The seed of the serpent" are that the 7 seals; all the mysteries of the Bible were enclosed in the 7 seals. As he was completely away off of the 7 seals, that means he was in error on the Message. Could it not be true? Could it not be the truth ? But that's the truth, because it wasn't him the Word, he wasn't the Message. The Message was sent to him, hence: "Write to the angel of the Church of Laodicea". That's the reason why he was sent to Tucson in Arizona, to get the orientation and come back and wait for the Message that was to be given from Jeffersonville and, that was in 1963; but he started preaching in 1933. So he had been wrong since 1933. It was not yet time. See how he was getting by? He was drawing into foreign stores. Everything he had condemned, he himself had done it. But God couldn't condemn him because the Lord had not spoken to him yet. If he had done after the revelation, the Lord could forsake him as He forsook Ewald Frank and all the others who forsook the deposit of revelation to go and draw the water from others, theologians. At this point Brother Branham too was in contact with the theologians.
When he says for example in "Marriage and Divorce": "We are in these errors because of the interpretations of theologians". When he says "we" it means he himself included. He was wrong about the end time Message, including "marriage and divorce". He was teaching like theologians. These were the mistakes. The errors were even inserted in the Scriptures always by the theologians. It takes the grace of the Lord to see the straight line that's in the Scriptures and in the End Time Message. This is the clear confession of a prophet, who admits to having walked for a long time in errors. This is why instead of considering the evolution of revelations through the 7 Seals, we will take the wrong path if we go back again to maintain errors of 1955, 1956, 1957 until even in 1963 before the seals. We will die in errors, we will have the spirit of error. No one has the right to continue believing in the revelation of 7 Thunders because it has been corrected. And here we will discover that what he was hoping to receive was proven to be an error and was corrected by the Holy Spirit in the "seventh seal". What he said in "the seventh seal" about the 7 thunders, is different from what he said in the first seal, the second, the third; he changed. Who can say that what the prophet is saying here is not correct? It is him declaring and confessing to have been walking in the errors, completely off, and all those things that he believed before were contrary to the things that had been given to him in the room.
 

{40}    Now, this is rather a mysterious... And now, for the sake of tapes, and clergymen and teachers that's setting present, now if you have a different view from this, I did too. But I'm just taking it from the inspiration which completely changed my view of it. See?

{435}    I do not think, by the opening... I do think, rather, by the opening of this Fifth Seal, as I believe that it's opened to us... I did it with good conscience, with clear revelation before God, not trying to just make it think, because I always was against organizations, never would belong to them, but it's opened to me now.

{436}    And I do think another thing: by the opening of this Fifth Seal in this day, straightens up a doctrine right here that I might speak of, of soul sleeping. Now, I realize that there's people in here that does believe that (See?), in the soul sleeping. I think that this disproves that. They're not sleeping; they are alive. Their bodies are sleeping, but the soul not in the grave. They're in the Presence of God under the altar.

{439}    …But just to show you how this disproves that... See? It disproves it, the opening of this Seal in this last day; it just takes soul sleeping plumb out of the way. See? They're alive. They're not dead. (See?) (THE.FIFTH.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  FRIDAY_  63-0322)

There is a difference between his own thoughts and the revelation of the Holy Spirit as he says in "the first seal". He said of "the first seal" that the rider was the Holy Spirit, but when the Lord came to reveal it, it was the opposite. There is a difference between the thoughts of Brother Branham and The Thoughts of Christ. Can Mali and Joseph continue to believe both thoughts?

This is what he says after:

{30}    And my mind, at this time... The reason I had that healing service this morning, because my human mind is becoming so away from my own way of thinking. (This is about the Seals) (THE.SEVENTH.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0324E)
 

On this subject of the Seals he himself thought as Branham and taught that there were 14 Seals! In another sermon he says 21 seals! These are recognized and corrected errors. Let us take "the first seal" and give the same observation:

{5}      Years ago I run through it here, about some twenty years ago I guess, or something like that, but somehow or another I never was just exactly satisfied. It seemed like there was some things especially in these Seals, because those Seals are the entire Book. See? It's the Book. The whole Book is one Book sealed. It starts...

In paragraphs 35-39 he mentions of the grace of God that if it had not intervened, he would have made a grave mistake to go and preach erros in front of the congregation.

{35}    And now, the Lamb is standing now tonight as we enter into this 6th chapter; He's got the Book in His hand and starting to reveal it. And, oh, I would've absolutely today... And I hope that people are spiritual. I would've had a horrible mistake on that if it hadn't been about twelve o'clock today when the Holy Spirit came in the room and corrected me on something that I was writing down to say.

I was taking it from an old context. I had nothing on it. I don't know what the Second Seal is no more than nothing, but I'd got some old contexts of something that I'd spoke on several years ago and wrote it down, and I'd gathered this context--context... And Dr. Smith, many great outstanding teachers that I--I'd gathered, and all of them believed that, so I'd wrote it down. And I was fixing to say, "Well, now I'll study it from that standpoint." And there about twelve o'clock in the day the Holy Spirit just swept right down into the room, and the whole thing just opened up to me, and there it was...?... of this--of this First Seal being opened.

{38}    I'm as positive as I'm standing here tonight that this is the Gospel Truth that I'm going to tell you about. I just know it is. Because if a revelation's contrary to the Word, then it isn't revelation. And you know, there's some of the stuff can look so absolutely true, and yet isn't truth. See? It looks like it is, but it isn't. (THE.FIRST.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  MONDAY_  63-0318)

The angels told him, "Return, it is time to open the Seven Seals." And he honestly thought it was to support the ideas he had. He went on studying and taking his old notes, the errors. These errors that he kept in his office twenty years and wanted to go and expose them as "THUS SAITH THE LORD." He said: “…something that I was writing down to say …” Then he said, "And the Holy Spirit came into the room, corrected me, and behold the first seal was opened."

  We have to emphasize on the correction by the Holy Spirit. He was corrected on “the first seal” on March 18, 1963 and not on the 7 thunders. The Spirit let him still be wrong about the 7 thunders. The Lord is very patient. Where did he find these things from? From theologians and he gives their names.

So he really confesses it on the 18th:

{37}    “…I don't know what the Second Seal is no more than nothing, but I'd got some old contexts of something that I'd spoke on several years ago and wrote it down, and I'd gathered this context--context... And Dr. Smith… And I was fixing to say…”

He emphasizes, “This is the truth.” The mistake corrected, the truth replaces that mistake, and that's it.

          He himself makes the difference in paragraph 41, he says:

 

{41}    Now, that's the First Seal, the one we're going to try by the grace of God to explain it tonight by the very best... And I realize that a man trying to explain that is walking on dangerous grounds, if you don't know what you're doing. See? So if it comes to me by revelation, I'll tell you so. If I just have to take it through my own mind, then I--I'll tell you it's that before I talk about it. But I'm just as positive as I'm standing here tonight, that it come afresh to me today from the Almighty. I'm not prone to just saying things like that when it comes to this part of the Scripture. And all this the false brothers do not notice, the duality of the person called William Marrion Branham.

There are times, many times he spoke without revelation. And then he also spoke after receiving the revelation and you can't put the two together in one straight line. You have to form an angle or angles on each subject.

In the "Second Seal" he gave the same thought. He said, "Today again something happened, I was going to make the same mistake again by going back to the old notes." You see he was just a human being, he did not learn from the past, but he unconsciously wanted to evolve in the mistakes. 

{11}    And now, tonight we are studying this Second Seal. And... For the first four Seals there is four horse riders. And I tell you today something happened again, and I--I... Something that I... I go and get the old script that I had that I talked on long ago. And just set down there, and I thought, "Well, I--I did the very best I could." And many writers and things... And I thought, "Well, I'll read a little while, and look over and see this and that," and the first thing you know, something just happens, and it's altogether different. It just comes in different. Then I grab me a pencil right quick and start writing down just as fast as I can while He's there. (THE.SECOND.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  TUESDAY_  63-0319)

In "the fifth seal" he says that the fifth seal corrected three doctrines which he too was found in!

{215}    Now, notice. Now, in the 9th verse, souls under the altar. Now, here's where I'm going to get some real disagreement. But just watch just a minute, just... See? I thought that too, but it didn't come that way. We've... I've always thought that these souls under the altar were the--the--the martyrs of the early church, and I'm sure that Dr. Uriah Smith and every one of them says it is. See? But... I thought so myself. But when the Holy Spirit showed the vision to it, it wasn't; it isn't the souls.

Important note:

ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE WRONG TODAY ARE PEOPLE WHO REMAINED STUCK WITH BROTHER BRANHAM'S OLD MISTAKES. In "God Confirming His Word" he says:

{61}      Now, it is possible that staunch Christians, fine people, hold sometimes, hold to the wrong thing, thinking it is right. But then these things should be proven, whether they are "right" or "wrong." And it's the duty of all of us, as we are expecting to go to Heaven when Jesus comes. And it's the minister's duty, when any question is brought up, that he solves this out, and then proves it before the people, that they might understand, because no one wants to be found "wrong," holding to the wrong thing. 2. On the 7 Thunders (Rev.10) and One Blast (Rev.6)

On the 7 thunders, there, the errors are monumental. He even thought in "Is this the time of end, Sir?" that the 7 thunders were the 7 seals that sealed the book which was written on the reverse and inside. What a big mistake that we should only, according to his recommendation, destroy completely and start the explanations all over again. It was a serious, complicated mistake, a set of confusion. I will even say that "Is this the time of end, Sir?" is actually a set of serious mistakes. First, instead of considering chapter 6 where a single thunderclap sounded from his experience, Brother Branham's grave error was to seek to do the speculative study on the chapter which was not concerned, of which the vision did not speak about, chapter 10.

There lays the error, he confuses one clap of thunder and seven blasts of thunders. Isn't that a mathematical error? But of course this is a miscalculation. He miscalculated. It was a mistake. He said, "If the vision is Scriptural, it must be placed in the Bible or be a continuity of the Scripture." And he failed greatly to apply it. This is a mistake; he even made the mistake of applying the vision, mistake of understanding. Wasn't that a mistake for him to think that the vision was about his death? Surely it was. He was scared, he was a human being. It was the mistake, the subject matter itself  was a mistake for he said, "I don't know." It was not the sign of the end, but perhaps the sign of the end of Brother Branham's speculations. It was the announcement of the change of his ministry. He was to go from doing the work of an  evangelist to a ministry of a great prophet. He said, "the promised Elijah." "I will send Elijah to you, he will bring the hearts of children back to their fathers". It must also be emphasized that it was also a serious mistake, when he said the messenger of Revelation 3:14 is the same we find in Malachi 4: 5 and 6, it is as well the same in Revelation 10: 7! It was a serious error of positioning and understanding, a very bad calculation.

          It was a mistake when he said

                   “This messenger will reveal the 7 thunders which are 7 truths of the 7 Seals that will return the hearts of the children to their fathers”

“Now this messenger of Malachi 4 and Revelation 10:7 is going to do two things. One: According to Malachi 4 he will turn the hearts of the children to the fathers. Two: He will reveal the mysteries of the seven thunders in Revelation 10 which are the revelations contained in the seven seals. It will be these Divinely revealed 'mystery-truths' that literally turn the hearts of the children to the Pentecostal fathers. Exactly so.” (327-1 LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9)

What a serious mistake in teaching! This thought has led millions and millions of souls astray around the world. Indeed a serious mistake! Now we find out that he did not reveal the 7 thunders, indeed he brought the revelation of the six seals, the first six seals. The seventh one was not revealed to him. Now It is no more  Brother Branham’s mistake but of his children’s who entitled this book "the revelation of the seven seals." This is Billy Paul and Joseph Branham's mistake. (We'll insert that in there) Because the two sermons that preceded “the first seal” are not to be considered part the seven seals. He himself said that in "Is this the time of end, Sir?" and in "The breach". These are other subjects. In "the breach", the question was asked: "Who will open the seven seals?" But it is a mistake that Brother Branham had taught that the book is opened in Revelation 10. No! In Revelation 10 the book was already open; it was opened before, in chapter 6. This is an error with regard to the Holy Scriptures, also with regard to the plan of Salvation. Revelation 10 was not about Brother Branham. It was also the mistake to consider Revelation 10 to be the fulfillment and that the 7 Thunders had to be revealed. But now that the 7 Thunders were never revealed until his departure, Brother Branham must be dislodged from Revelation 10 and be brought back to his place - Revelation 3:14. He is the messenger of the Laodicea Church and not the seventh angel because we do not have a sixth angel of the Church, nor a fifth, a fourth, etc. The heavenly angels commanded him to RETURN home, so did we.

Now, on the seven thunders he said the seven thunders never made their voices be heard from heaven but from earth in "Is this the time of end, Sir?” What a mistake in the prophecy realm! And no prophecy of the Scriptures can support any private interpretation. There, Brother Branham gave a private interpretation. But who had told him: "The seven thunders never made their voices heard from heaven."

38-2    Look where the voices was in the thunders, not in heaven, on earth. The thunders never uttered from the heavens; they uttered from the earth. And I was about to write: when I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal... (Capital S-e-a-l)... Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. Even in the natural, thunders of rain only make their voices heard from the heaven. However, in "the Seventh Seal" the Holy Spirit corrects this error. We exactly take the paragraph as "Thus saith the Lord" in "the 7th Seal":

391    Now, now, do you notice on the opening of this Seventh Seal, it's also in a threefold mystery. This one I have--will speak and have spoke, that it is the mystery of the seven thunders. The seven thunders in heaven will unfold this mystery. It'll be right at the coming of Christ, because Christ said no one knew when He would return. (THE.SEVENTH.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  MONDAY_  63-0324E)

And even this coming that he is talking about here is not the coming for the rapture. When the Seven Thunders of Revelation 10 comes to pass, Christ as the Angel of the Covenant has His feet one on the earth and one on the sea in Israel. He is called there the Lion of the tribe of Judah. This is where the Seven Thunders from Heaven will be fulfilled. It was a mistake too. Look the other way at paragraph 391 it says:

{391}  … It'll be right at the coming of Christ, because Christ said no one knew when He would return. (THE.SEVENTH.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  MONDAY_  63-0324E)

So even there agin he hesitates. The precision was not revealed to him yet. It was revealed to him that the seventh seal will be known when Christ will be on earth. But when Lord Yeshua will be on earth as the Messenger of the Covenant (Rev. 10: 1-2), it will no longer be the time of the Bride Church. During this time there is the fulfillment of the prophecy that we see in Genesis, the life of the prophet Yoseph who is in reunion with his brethren. When Christ is on earth, He is with His brethren. His Bride as in Yoseph's time remained in the Palace celebrating. AMEN and AMEN.

In "Is this the time of end, Sir?" he himself made how many mistakes when asking questions about the seven thunders: Isn't that what will give the rapturing faith? Aren’t these seven thunders that will cap the pyramid? Aren’t these seven thunders that will bring the power that will grant the Church the double portion of the Spirit for the Church to start working? It was all mistakes and mistakes and mistakes in “Is this the time of end, Sir?” The serious error he made again in it is when he said: “Shouldn't the seven thunders that are outside the Bible also be open the same way as the seven seals that are inside?” What a serious mistake! This is a very serious mistake to point out. The Seven Thunders were not to be opened the same way as the Seven Seals that are opened in the Bible. The seven seals were opened by the Lamb and preceded by a single clap of thunder. One thunderclap and then seven angels appeared. How do you want the Seven Thunders to open? By what? By what blow if it’s not from these seven thunders themselves? And there will be voices, the seven voices of the seven thunders which will consecutively speak. Another error in "God hiding Himself in simplicity then revealing Himself", what a serious mistake to have confused the seven angels who came with the seven thunders, stating: "... I believe that the angels who hold the seven thunders will grant it." How can the angels hold the seven thunders to grant it? It was a mistake, Brother Branham’s grave error and not from the Holy Spirit for the Holy Spirit cannot make a mistake. When the vision was fulfilled, it turned out that each of the angels held one seal, and not each a thunder. It was a mistake. The angels held the Seven Seals. In "the Seventh Seal" he said, "It was the seventh angel who held the seventh seal." In "One in a Million" the correction came, he said, "each Angel will be one of the seals of the Seven Seals", Not every angel was thunder! These are the mistakes that people like the Baruti brothers, Diyoka are stuck on with. These were the mistakes!

20      And He said, "The vision is not your end time. It's for your ministry. That Sword is the Word. The Seven Seals will be opened, the mysteries of..."

21      And then two weeks after that, or two months, rather, after that, I was up in the mountain with a bunch of friends when it, happened. Seven Angels, just as clear as you're standing here, came sweeping down from Heaven. The rocks in the mountains rolled out and down the hills, and--and people standing there were screaming and going on, you know, and the dust flying everywhere. And when it was, He said, "Return to your home. Now will be, each Angel will be one of the seals of the Seven Seals." (ONE.IN.A.MILLION_  LA.CA  V-18 N-1  SATURDAY_  65-0424)

In "The Breach" he made quite a number of mistakes there as well. First he had to remain with the teaching of Revelation 5, but he willingly said, "Let's stop here first, let's get Revelation 10." Why? We had taught that he was tempted by the virgin called "seven thunders" in Revelation 10. The good thing is that he said, "I presume we can all miss it out." Now we are announcing in our book that all those who had not seen the prophet speculating have missed it out with his curse. It is him who said, he himself included: “ 48  We are sure to miss the thing unless it is absolutely, genuinely revealed by the Holy Spirit and vindicated the same...” (THE BREACH BETWEEN THE.SEVEN.CHURCH.AGES.AND.THE.SEVEN.SEALS_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0317E)

{47}    And here He returns back in the 10th chapter after the coming time, that all the mysteries is to be finished, and the Seals are to be broke, and proclaiming that its time is no more. And he said, "When the seventh angel has begin to sound, then the mysteries should be finished and time for the Angel to appear. We're close, somewhere. That's right.

{48}    Now, notice, the Seven Seals holds the mystery of the Book. Until we can see what those Seven Seals has sealed in, we're only presuming them things. Because as I've told you this morning, upon my little message this morning of "God Hiding in Simplicity,"... You see, we are--we are--we are sure to miss the thing unless it is absolutely, genuinely revealed by the Holy Spirit and vindicated the same. See? If the prophet rises and tells you that this is just that, and God don't vindicate the thing, forget it. See? But God in every statement, in everything has to vindicate it to make it right. See, see? So His children will watch those things (See?), and be alert.

{49}    Notice, Seven Seals on the Book has the... These Seven Seals has the Book sealed. See? The Book is absolutely sealed. Do you see it? The Book is absolutely a sealed Book until the Seven Seals is broken. It is sealed up with Seven Seals. Now, that's a different from the Seven Thunders. See? This is Seven Seals on the Book, and the Book will not--the Seals will not be released until the message of the seventh angel. See? So we--we are presuming, but the genuine revelation of God will be made perfect in that sounding and vindicated Truth. Now, that's exactly what the Word said. The mysteries should be finished at that time. And this seven-sealed Book, remember, it was closed here in Revelations the 5th chapter, and in Revelations the 10th chapter it is opened. And immediately he corrects everything he said in "Is this the time of end, Sir?" concerning what was on the reverse side of the book, he rectifies: "The Book (meaning the Bible) is only sealed with Seven Seals." Whereas in "Is this the time of end, Sir?", he had confused opinion by saying, "There are Seven Seals in there; there are Seven Seals on the outside; and then another Seven natural Seals in "In His Presence”. And then in “The Breach” he rectified it by saying, “The Seven Seals are different from the Seven Thunders.” It also amended a very bad thinking, a monumental mistake about his confusion between the Seven Seals and the Seven Thunders as he had written it in the chapter on "the messenger" (An Exposition of Seven Church Ages, page)

Now this messenger of Malachi 4 and Revelation 10:7 is going to do two things. One: According to Malachi 4 he will turn the hearts of the children to the fathers. Two: He will reveal the mysteries of the seven thunders in Revelation 10 which are the revelations contained in the seven seals. It will be these Divinely revealed 'mystery-truths' that literally turn the hearts of the children to the Pentecostal fathers. Exactly so. (327-1    LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9)

This was an error that is corrected here in "The Breach". The Bible was not sealed with the Seven Thunders but with the Seven Seals. That's all. These are some of the errors on the Seven Thunders.

3. The Sealing of The Book

On the sealing of the Book, correction is vital. The book was a book written inside and out but sealed only with the Seven Seals and not with the Seven Thunders.

{49}   … These Seven Seals has the Book sealed. See? The Book is absolutely sealed. Do you see it? The Book is absolutely a sealed Book until the Seven Seals is broken. It is sealed up with Seven Seals. Now, that's a different from the Seven Thunders. See? This is Seven Seals on the Book… (THE BREACH BETWEEN THE SEVEN CHURCH.AGES.AND.THE.SEVEN.SEALS_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0317E)

But earlier William Marrion Branham had spoken about the Seven Seals inside and the Seven Seals on the outside before he knew the truth. In "Is this the time of end, Sir?" presuming he said, "If the seals on the inside open with thunder, won't the seals on the outside also open in the same way?"

Correction: There were no 7 Seals on the inside and some on the outside! The 7 Seals were only on the outside.

QUOTES:

43-2    Now, look, when it is time for the seven voices, then it's time for the seven Voices when the Book is completed of Revelations 10 to be revealed. Now, notice, listen. Now, I won't keep you too much longer; I know I'm wearing you out here; it's twenty minutes till ten. Listen close now. I know standing up and you all changing positions and things. I'll be glad when the church gets fixed so we won't have to be cramped up. We can take all day to preach it. Now, notice. Now, note, the seven voices was thunders: blast.

I'm asking you the question. It blasted with thunder when this voice rung out. Did you notice that when the seven seals, that followed the seven church ages; when the first seal was opened, that there was a thunder? The first seals in the Book was opened, there was a thunder. Would not the first seal on the outside Book open the same way? God doesn't change His program.

43-5  Oh, church, could it be? Are we that far? Friends, think. Maybe... I hope it isn't, but what if it is? What was that blast? Before God and this open Bible, I lie not. Blast that shook the earth, and when the first seal of the seven that was opened in the Bible, it come forth, just one, but a blast that shook the whole thing: a thunder. And then, if the seals that's on the backside would open, would not it be a thunder too? I don't know. I can't say. (IS.THIS.THE.SIGN.OF.THE.END.SIR_JEFF.IN V-2 N-11 SUNDAY_62-1230E)

Here, William Marrion Branham is on the wrong track in wanting to put together "the Blast" and the 7 thunders of Revelation 10! This one is a SERIOUS mistake. He did a wrong study. This resulted in death of millions. He does compare the opening of the 7 Seals and the opening of the 7 Thunders! This is Unbelievable. This is “the man” and not the prophet!

37-3 … Now, there's writing on the inside of the Book, but the backside had seven seals on the back of it that wasn't written in the Book. Now, this is the revelator talking: John. Now, remember, it wasn't written in the Book. "And in the days of the voice of the seventh angel all this mystery that's written within should be finished." It should be taken care of in that day. Now, do you see what I mean? Are you following me?

Then is the time for the seven voices of Revelations 10 to be revealed. When the Book is finished, there's only one thing left, and that is the seven mysterious voices of thunder that was wrote on the backside of the Book that John was forbidden to write. Let me read it.

And I saw an angel--a mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. And he had in his hand a little book open:... (See, now watch this.)... and he set his right foot on the sea,... his left on the earth…

Now notice attentively!

But, the Lord has rejected the whole thing. He did not at all confirm what the man thought.  And he cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. (Watch.).

And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write:

There was something said. It just wasn't a noise. Something was said. He was about to write.... and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me...

38-2    Look where the voices was in the thunders, not in heaven, on earth. The thunders never uttered from the heavens; they uttered from the earth. ♣ MISTAKE 

And I was about to write: when I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal... (Capital S-e-a-l)... Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

It's on the backside. When a book is complete... Now, He didn't say on the front side; He said on the backside. After it's all done completed, then these seven thunder voices is the only thing that is stuck to the Book, that's not revealed. It's not even written in the Book. ♣ TRUE

40-3    And seven thunders right in the revelation here of Jesus Christ, is some mystery. Does not the Bible say that this is the revelation of Jesus Christ? Why, there's some hidden mystery then of it. What is it? The seven thunders have it. For John was just about to write, and a voice came down from heaven, said, "Don't write it. But seal it. Seal it up. Put it on the backside of the Book." It's got to be revealed. It's the mysteries.

46-3   What if it is something to let us know how to enter in to the rapturing faith. Is it? Will we run and leap over walls? Is there something fixing to happen, and these old marred, vile bodies are going to be changed? Can I live to see it, O Lord? Is it so close that I'll see it? Is this the generation? Sirs, my brethren, what time is it? Where are we at?"

47-1    It might be closer than you think it is. It's got me scared. Oh, I haven't done enough. Where are we at? Time shall be no more. He announces that time is over. What happens? What happens? Could that be so now, brethren? Seriously think. If it is, then the pyramid is capped by the seven thunders.

48-7   Could it be that? The mighty thunder, or the seventh angel in the seven constellation, seventh period constellation, the pyramid made in a form, three on a side, and one on top, and they dropped from eternity. Could it be? Is this the mystery of the thunders that will bring back the Headstone?

49-5    Now, will this be the mystery that would open up, that would bring Christ, bring a power to the church? See, we've already... We believe in repentance, being baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. We believe in receiving the Holy Ghost. We have signs, wonders, miracles, speaking in tongues, and the things that the early church had. And, frankly, there's been more done right here than is wrote in the Book of Acts, in this one little group of people, this little bitty ministry of ours here. What about the world over? See? More than is wrote in the Book of Acts... Same kind: the raising of the dead. Remember, there's only about three people raised from the dead by Jesus Christ, and we have on record, doctor's record, five. "Works that I do, more than this shall you do."

51-6   Is it--is it time? Is the minist--the mystery all finished? Has the sounding all over? Is that really them seven thunders fixing to utter out something that the little group that He's gathered together will receive a rapturing faith to go in the rapture when He comes; for we'll be changed as quick as those Angels come: in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, and shall be caught up together with those that is asleep to meet the Lord in the air.

In “The Breach Between The Seven Church Ages And The Seven Seals”

72-1  {29}    This seven-sealed Book is revealed at the time of the Seven Thunders of Revelations 10. If you're marking it down... Let's turn to Revelations 10 just a moment, so you'll get a understanding before we get into it. Now, this is at the end time, for listen.

... I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow... upon his head,...

If you notice that's Christ (See?), 'cause He in the Old Testament was called the Angel of the Covenant, and He's directly coming to the Jews now, for the Church is finished. See? All right.

You remember that Angel in Revelations 1? Same thing. Angel is a messenger, and He's a Messenger to Israel. See? The Church has been raptured. See? Now, or fixing to be raptured. He comes for His Church.

Now, watch. And he had in his hand a little book open:...

Now, here it was closed here, and sealed, and here it's open; it's been opened. Since that time of the sealing we're getting into tonight, now the Book's opened. A little Book in His hand--in His... It was opened. Oh, how... The sun as pillars... Wait just a minute, let me start back here reading.

And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot upon the earth,

And he cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth:... (We know He is the Lion of the tribe of Juda. Over here He's a Lamb, but here He's a Lion. See?)... and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

Now, John was commissioned to write what he saw, so the apostle and prophet picked up his pen to write it.

And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. (Now, that's what we don't know. That's yet to be revealed; it's not in Holy Script, what them thunders say.) (Parag. 29-35)

In “The Breach Between The Seven Church Ages And The Seven Seals”

41      And when the Seals are broke and the mystery is revealed, down comes the Angel, the Messenger, Christ, setting His foot upon the land and upon the sea with a rainbow over His head. Now remember, this seventh angel is on earth at the time of this coming.

Here, Branham visibly confuses the comings. It's proven. This is just like all the other questions which were in fact serious mistakes and are part of his old contexts.

 

Acknowledgement of Errors by Brother Branham

In “Spiritual Food in Due Season” he had acknowledged that his speculations in “Is this the time of end, Sir?” and in “The Breach Between The Seven Church Ages And The Seven Seals” were serious errors!

We state it together with Brother Branham that those were mistakes. He denounced it himself while still making a mistake in the wording.

83      … I always thought it was sealed on the back of the Book and it'd be something wasn't wrote in the Book, but it turned out that it was made known that He cannot do that. It isn't something that's written in the Book... It's something that's been hid in the Book. "For whosoever shall take one Word from It or add one word to It..." So it is a mystery that's been in the Book in these seven church ages. Each one of them produced a--a mystery, all about water baptism and these other things that they've fumbled about so long. Important Notes: The spine of the book had 7 Seals. These seals were mysteries written in the Bible. They were not the Seven Thunders for their voices weren't written in it! Amen.

Let us take now where he himself recognizes errors in his teaching:

527-4  {17}    Now, I say this... Looking over old notes that I preached on many years ago, I was just coming in and saying what I thought was right and going on. It was away off of the line. And now, all four of them Seals, I had it in about twenty minute sermon. Oh... The four horse riders of Revelations, I throwed them all together, and said, "One horse went in white"; I said, "perhaps that's the--the--the early age. And next horse went in famine," and then on like that. But my, when the Word really was opened up, it was a hundred miles away from it. (THE.SEVENTH.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0324E)

529-3  {29}    Now, I want to make this real clear. Every time, every time that these Seals has come to the place, everything that I ever believed on them and has read of other people, has been contrary to what come to me in the room. (THE SEVENTH SEAL_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0324E)

122-2  {35}    ... And, oh, I would've absolutely today... And I hope that people are spiritual. I would've had a horrible mistake on that if it hadn't been about twelve o'clock today when the Holy Spirit came in the room and corrected me on something that I was writing down to say.

122-2  {36}    I was taking it from an old context. I had nothing on it. I don't know what the Second Seal is no more than nothing, but I'd got some old contexts of something that I'd spoke on several years ago and wrote it down, and I'd gathered this context--context... And Dr. Smith, many great outstanding teachers that I--I'd gathered, and all of them believed that, so I'd wrote it down. And I was fixing to say, "Well, now I'll study it from that standpoint."

122-2  {37}    And there about twelve o'clock in the day the Holy Spirit just swept right down into the room, and the whole thing just opened up to me, and there it was...?... of this--of this First Seal being opened.

122-4  {38}    I'm as positive as I'm standing here tonight that this is the Gospel Truth that I'm going to tell you about. I just know it is. Because if a revelation's contrary to the Word, then it isn't revelation. And you know, there's some of the stuff can look so absolutely true, and yet isn't truth. See? Let’s say because he left people in suspense about what was on the spine of the book, the Seven Thunders were not there but rather the Seven Seals. This mistake was a completely profound error that brought several things together, that is, when he wanted to correct it, he once again made mistakes.

 

4. On Revelation 10:7 

Concerning Revelation 10 verse 7, we have already talked about that. It was not for an earthly messenger brother Branham, because we do not find in chapter 9 or 8 the earthly angels who were to precede him. The seventh angel mentioned in Revelation 10 has a trumpet and follows on from the sixth one also having a trumpet. Thus going back to chapter 8 where we find them grouped together in number of seven having seven trumpets. This error was recognized and corrected a bit by Brother Branham twice.

He corrected a bit in "The Breach" where he assumed Revelation 10 would be fulfilled after the rapture of the Church. It was a minimal correction. The paragraph must be quoted and both thoughts expressed for you to see what I am saying is true:

In “the uniting time and the sign” he said that it is not the whole of verse 7 that concerns him but only part of it. He assigned to himself the days of the voice of the seventh angel.

100      Revelation 10 said, "The seventh angel's Message." Now remember, that's right at the Seven Trumpets, and there's seven angels blowing Seven Trumpets. That's what we're coming to next. But remember there, very specifically It said, "The angel's...," not the seventh angel's TRUMPET, but the "seventh angel's MESSAGE." See, not the Trumpet angel, the Message angel! See, the angel only sounded the trumpet, that seventh angel. The Trumpet angel was this, that in the days of the Message of the seventh angel; see, when his Message is finished. See, that's the church age Message. And this time, then he would... the Message, not the Trumpet, and "the mystery of God (that's written in the Word) should be finished." (THE.UNITING.TIME.AND.SIGN_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-10  SUNDAY_  63-0818)

And among the unrecognized errors that we must correct is that verse 7 as he stated himself, must be left in the context of the whole chapter. This chapter is a continuation of chapters 9 and 8. Just as he said: “That takes place when the seven Trumpets are sounding and that is in the 6th seal”. The Seven Trumpets sound in the Sixth Seal. This chapter was not the breach between the 7 Church Ages and the 7 Seals as he made it, this chapter was instead the breach between the sixth trumpet and the seventh trumpet in chapter 11 verse 15. This is a systematic bible study that must be respected. So Revelation 10: 7 does not speak of an earthly messenger but rather of a heavenly messenger because there is mention of this (singular) "mystery" of God which is fulfilled and not which will be revealed. Brother Branham came with THE REVELATIONS ("Marriage and Divorce", "the serpent's seed", "Who is this Melchisedek", "the Divinity of Lord Yeshua", "the Baptism of the Holy Spirit", etc.) even the marriage of Christ is still in the form of revelation (2 Cor. 11; Matt. 25) and not yet fulfilled, while in verse 7 of Revelation 10 we speak of the fulfillment of one mystery which is the mystery of God-Elohim. But the mystery of God is fulfilled when Christ Yeshua is on earth to begin the Millennial Reign (Revelation 11:15). No one can doubt that.

If Brother Branham was the seventh angel of Revelation 10, we had to be shown the sixth angel, even in chapter 10, chapter 9 and 8 not having trumpets, but voice! No. Brother Branham has to be left with his family of earthly angels who came with the scriptures: "Untoto the angel of the church of Ephesus write", "Unto the angel of the church of Smyrna write" etc. Always: "write ..." These are the messengers of seven churches, that is all. There is nothing to speculate about. Brother Branham didn't come with the trumpet. But in verse 7 of Revelation 10 we talk about the trumpet and especially because it did not bring the seven revelations of seven thunders, so it is out of place. This is proof that it wasn't him.

 

5. On “Marriage and Divorce”

Here, the prophet was also completely off, as chapter 3 says regarding the message to the Laodicean church:

¹⁴ “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 
¹⁵ “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 
¹⁶ So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither ^[k]cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. (Rev. 3 :14-16)

He was sometimes in the hot, sometimes in the cold; sometimes he said that polygamy is thousand times better, sometimes he said that it is wrong. Sometimes he campaigned for polygamy to be recognized and granted in the United States, sometimes he said: "but don't say that I believe in polygamy." This is to be neither hot nor cold. There are many illustrations to those:

 

In “The Questions and Answers on the Seals” there are some who think that the issue of remarriage after divorce was also a revelation meaning "THUS SAITH THE LORD". Unfortunately not, because he himself said that this question is irrelevant. Until then there were only the first six seals revealed to him, he had not yet exposed the seventh. When answering he completely went off, his whole answer was wrong. It was a terrible mistake. So he was still dark concerning to marriage and divorce. But on February 21, 1965, he cried out against this very thought as he said in “the man running from the presence of the Lord”. He said he never saw a single scripture in the Bible that allowed a man or a woman to remarry. He quoted Paul, incriminating him. It was a big mistake. Here is the question (March 23, 1963):

471-4  {99}    5. Now, Brother Branham, is there any Scripture permitting marriage after divorce. This is very important.

Here is his answer:

It says important. Well, that's the reason it wasn't pertaining to this. As far as I can see, my brother or sister, whoever it may be, there isn't unless your companion's dead, because the Bible said we're bound to them as long as they live. See? So as--as far as being any Scripture, that's what was asked here: "Is there Scripture. See? Is there any Scripture?" Not as I can find. See? Not as I can find, 'cause Paul said that the--the married couple, if the companion's dead, then they're free then to marry whomsoever they will in the Lord. But until then... But watch. You take it, "Until death we part..." That's it. You've done took an oath over that (You see?), so I don't think there is. Now, if there's--if you found some, and it's correctly why, all--all right. But as far as myself, I--I don't find any. (QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.ON.THE.SEALS_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0324M)

But this error was greatly, profoundly and powerfully corrected in the “Marriage and Divorce” revelation. Therein he said the whole Bible institutes polygamy and remarriage by "THUS SAITH THE LORD". There are many examples! But before this REVELATION, he condemned deacons and men, because he did not have the Answer from the Lord. You must be able to make the big difference between the man Branham who delves into his thoughts and the prophet Branham who makes the VOICE OF GOD to be heard.

E-53   Oh, my. Yeah, he got them all mixed up out there, and begin to marry, intermarry. That's the way they did today, when you got to wandering around. If you'd stayed on the real firing line of God, you wouldn't have done these things. Marrying believers with unbelievers, and in and out, and so forth, and marrying them that had been married two or three times and had three or four wives, and so forth, and marry them again. That's that old doctrine of Balaam. That's right. (THE RESULTS OF DECISION_  CHICAGO.IL  SATURDAY_  55-1008)

29    …Put deacons on the board that's been married four or five times, just in order to get by with it, to make ends meet. There's only one end you've got to meet; that's your obligation to God. Stand and tell the Truth. Lost--lost man is in a bewildered state; he's a madman. (A.GUIDE_  JEFF.IN  V-12 N-7  SUNDAY_  62-1014E)

209    … In the nations where they have polygamy, it's a thousand times better. And yet, polygamy's wrong; we know. (THE SEVENTIETH WEEK OF DANIEL_  JEFF.IN  DA 89-141  SUNDAY_  61-0806)

While speaking, the Lord first revealed that since Genesis 3, it was He Himself who introduced polygamy. But brother Branham had previously condemned polygamy, saying, “we know it is wrong.” In condemning polygamy he condemned at the same time both the Lord and the Word. But that was ignorance, he was just a man of fallible words and here all his words failed and fell into the water, completely destroyed by THE HAMMER OF THE WORD OF THE LORD. AMEN. Like Isaiah, he was a man with unclean lips, like David, he acted like a foo, like Adam, he was naked. Amen. Branham's duality!

233      But now that the Seals are opened, the Spirit of Truth directs us to the Word. That explains why all the mistakes has been down through the ages, because the Seals was not opened, This was not revealed. It's true.

234    Notice, you, you can't make the shadows fail. As I preached to you last night about the shadow across the floor, it's got to come out right. How can there be a shadow of an elephant coming across the floor, and a little bitty, spindly man come out to be the elephant, or the elephant to a little, spindly man?

230      Now you notice in First Corinthians 7:10, notice, Paul commands the wife that is, that divorces her husband, to remain single or be reconciled, not to remarry. She must remain single, or to be reconciled back to her husband. She cannot remarry. She must remain single, but, notice, he never said about the man. See, you can't make the Word lie. "From the beginning," the sex law by polygamy. (MARRIAGE.AND.DIVORCE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-13  SUNDAY_  65-0221M)

He recognized this error when he said, “Today I am not going to give you my own opinion, but the mind of the Lord. Because my opinion is like anyone else’s.” He realized that he had made the Word lie, in shadows, which is very serious in the sight of the Lord. Remember that the errors of the brothers within the Message come from Brother Branham himself. They also made the mistake of not following Brother Branham in REVELATION. He too had lied and made THE WORD lie. This is why he had sleepless nights:

5    Now I hope that the audience will not be nervous. And I trusting to God that I will not be nervous, for I've had a tremendous night, a lot of strain. For I realize that the things that I say this morning will be held against me in the Day of the Judgment, and I--I couldn't sleep, and I know if I don't say them it'll be held against me in the Day of Judgment. So it makes it hard, you can't explain it. (MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-13  SUNDAY_  65-0221M)

He also made the Word lie like the rest of them. He too made the shadows lie. He was no longer a typologist here!

By saying at the conclusion: “Now we are found in this mess because of misinterpreted theology.” He was also involved in the same way in it because he was copying them and teaching it in the Lord's Church. Here now, he will line up correctly  the thoughts of the Lord and lay the ALL on a good doctrinal basis: HARMONY, therefore, The “Thus saith the Lord” all the way through.

He acknowledged his error and the correction was powerful on “marriage and divorce”:

203    Then when the double covenant was made by man and woman, through sex, another covenant altogether (not the original covenant, but another covenant), now what's introduced? Polygamy, in all. Then, after the beginning, polygamy was introduced both in man and in beasts; after the beginning, the fall. God now, secondarily, sets a new nature again, by sex. God created the first without sex. Do you believe that? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] Now it's another covenant with nature, He sets it in another order, by sex. Second covenant: one male, many females; one buck deer, a whole harem of does. Is that right? One bull, a whole herd of cattle, cows; one rooster, a yardful of hens. Is that right? One David, after His Own heart, with five hundred wives; with a hundred children born to him, in one year, of different women, a man after God's Own heart. One Solomon, with a thousand wives. But notice now, it wasn't so at the beginning, but now it's "after" the beginning. The woman has done this, then she just becomes what she is now. See?

204      David, the king which represented Christ! Hold that in your mind. David represented Christ. Do you believe that? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] Christ is setting, going to sit on his throne. And this David, a man after God's Own heart, had five hundred wives. See what I mean? David with his five hundred wives, Solomon with his thousand. And Solomon is the son of David, in the natural; which represents Jesus Christ, the Son of David, in the spiritual. But that's natural, sex life. This is going to be spiritual, created. Why? Created. See, that's the way it was at the beginning, but not now in this life we live in now.

205    Notice, don't fail this now, take it all down in your hearts. But not one of those women could even have one more husband. He is the original creation, not her. Not one of those women could have one more husband, but that one husband could have a thousand wives. That's THUS SAITH THE LORD. That's the Bible.

225    Matthew 5:32. I want you to notice here, to support this same idea of "one" and "many." Matthew, thirty-... I think it's Matthew 5:32, 31 to begin with. It has been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

226    That's Jesus speaking, the One said, "from the beginning." Now watch. But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving... the cause of fornications, causes her to commit adultery; see, whosoever shall put away his wife, saving... the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: (why? she'll marry again) and whosoever marrieth her that is divorced committed adultery.

227      See, she has got a living husband, so no man can marry her. Care what she does and who she is, she's got a living husband, there is no grounds for her at all. But, it's not, for him. "Causes her," not him. Get it? You have to make the Word run in continuity. See, nothing saying he couldn't, but she can't. See, "causes her," not him. That's exactly what the Bible says, "causes her." It is not stated against him to remarry, but "her." Why? Christ in the type.

228    Notice, it is stated that he cannot remarry, only a virgin. He can remarry. He can, he can remarry again if it's a virgin, but he can't marry somebody else's wife. No indeedy. And if he does marry a divorced woman, he is living in adultery, I don't care who he is. The Bible said, "Whosoever marrieth her that is put away, liveth in adultery." There you are, not no divorcees.

229    See that original back there, "from the beginning," now? Remarrying, now notice, he can, but she can't. Like David, like Solomon, like the continuity of the whole Bible, now, same as David and the rest of them.

CRITICS:

The Lord rejected all of what Brother Branham had taught before and called them: The way of perdition, first school of thought that did not come from the Lord at all, rebellion and false doctrine.  That is why in the correction he said, “You must not make the Word lie, the sex law was polygamy.”

He settled everything that morning once and for all. And now he recommended people to go back to that Absolute - THUS SAYS THE LORD all the way through.

 

6.   The Year 1977

“Based on these seven visions, along with the rapid changes which have swept the world in the last fifty years, I PREDICT (I do not prophesy) that these visions will have all come to pass by 1977. And though many may feel that this is an irresponsible statement in view of the fact that Jesus said that 'no man knoweth the day nor the hour.' I still maintain this prediction after thirty years because, Jesus did NOT say no man could know the year, month or week in which His coming was to be completed. So I repeat, I sincerely believe and maintain as a private student of the Word, along with Divine inspiration that 1977 ought to terminate the world systems and usher in the millennium.” (322-4 LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH AGE BOOK CPT.9)

The prophecy was true, but when he began to speculate on the year of fulfillment, that was a serious mistake. Even the interpretation he could give of the thirty-sixth verse of Matthew 24 was wrong. He shouldn't have done that. In “the seventh seal” he corrected this. He said I don't know. Those who say they know it are wrong. (§ 328 English version and  § 206 French version { 206 is Righini's old address where we used to reside}). Those who say they know the Seven Thunders are wrong. Those who say they know the revelation of the Seventh Seal, said William Branham, are wrong. In the “Questions and Answers on the Seals” right from the start he said: “Those who will try to interpret even a little bit the seventh seal,  are in error, are lost, and have gone astray.” And in “marriage and divorce” he says: Those who teach monogamy, they will run out of the Scriptures and are heading into perdition.

66  Now, if that be so, we have two schools of thought on Marriage And Divorce. And that is, one of them says, that, "A man can only be married once, unless his wife is dead." And that's one of the questions, but, you go to following that, you go overboard. And then the next says, "Oh, if the wife or the husband, either one, has committed adultery, either one of them can be put away and married again." You find yourself overboard with that. 262 – 263 Went right on revealing It, revealing His Word, but dare any one of us to try to put away Him and marry another. Now surely it's plain why both theories are wrong. You can't make it run this way, it's gone; you make it run that, it'd run plumb past the promise. Here is the promise, here is the thing right here. The Word is not contradictory. It has to stay in continuity now, no more than Matthew 28:19 contradicts Acts 2:38.

And that, we realize it and have observed it. All those who rejected the revelation about polygamy, have left the Bible, they believe the Seven Thunders, because they came out of the Holy Scriptures. There the prophet was right and we are going to back it up with the mentions of his holy statements with the seal of "THUS SAITH THE LORD". Amen.

 

7. On the vision of the seven angels

When the prophet Branham regained control of all his 5 senses, he affirmed in accordance with what he had seen in the vision distinctly on December 22, 1962 that it was 7 angels who came to meet him to open up the way for him Bible through the Opening of 7 Seals (Rev. 5; Dan. 12)

Quotes:

The first quote will be given: “Is this the time of end, Sir?”

However, on December 23, 1962, one day after the vision, since he was troubled, not having all his senses in place, he stated things that were true in reality, he contradicted the vision by saying there were 5 angels.

24.  And I, still in my--the two consciouses together, I knowed I was standing here, and I knowed I was somewhere else. See? And I thought, "Now, this is vision, and I must learn what this means." And no more than the second group of birds come by, I looked to the west; and it looked like in a form of a pyramid, like two on each side with one in the top, came five of the mightiest Angels I ever seen in my life. Such a terrific speed I never seen... Their heads back and their pointed wings just sailing quickly.

29.  This is all still in the vision. It wasn't... See, it's in the vision. And then all at once, as I realized that I had been... They were around me. I couldn't see them, but I'd been brought into this constellation of a pyramid of them, inside this constellation of--of Angels, of five.

30.  I--I--I haven't felt just right since. See? I was... All day yesterday, I had to stay in the house, almost feeling beside myself, I can't make my mind get clear, and the glory and power of the Lord... I was numb all over when it left me. I was trying to rub my hands, and I thought, "I can't catch my breath." And I walked around and--through the floor, and back and forth….

31.  Well, when the... I can't tell you about when I say, "Power of the Lord." There's no way to explain that. It isn't what you feel here in the blessings. That's the blessings of the Lord. This is a sacred... Oh, my. It's--it's beyond anything that a mortal could even imagine. See? And it--and it was bothering me real bad. It don't--it isn't a blessing; it's a bother; you're troubled. See?

32.  If I could only get some way that I could tell the people what that was, or what--what the feeling of it was. It--it isn't just like setting here want to rejoice. It's--it's something that every nerve in you just... It's beyond scare; it's beyond frightened; it's a holy reverence of... How... There's no way to explain it. Even to my entire back, up and down my spine, through my fingers, up and down, on my feet and toes, my whole being was just numbed. See, just like you was--you'd--it way out of the world somewhere….

42.  It just seem to just shakes me, that blasting, and that swift coming of those Angels, like that, five of them together in a constellation of them, like--kind of like a... Like I had that pyramid drawn here. It looked to be... First it looked like, kind of a... In the distance it looked kind of like that color of doves. And they were in a--in a--coming from this way. And they were looked like one, two, three, four, and then one right at the top, making five. And they come with such a speed. There is nothing, no jets, no nothing else can compare with that. (THE REPROACH FOR THE CAUSE OF THE WORD_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-16  SUNDAY_  62-1223)

In “Is this the time of end, Sir?”, Page 30 § 4, it was a grave error, perhaps even a terrible mistake for Brother Branham to identify  the 7 seals to the 7 Church Ages.

237.  I believe that the seventh angel of Revelations 10 is the seventh church age messenger of Revelations 3:14. Remember... Now, let me read... look... where I can read... Now, this was the seventh angel. But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel... (7th verse)... when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he has declared to his servants the prophets.

238.  Now, you notice, this was a angel; and it's the angel of the seventh church age, because it says here, it is the seventh angel of the seventh church age. Found that... If you want to see who the--where the angel is, Revelations 3:14, it's the angel to the Laodicean church.

239.  Now, you remember when that was told there, the angels and the church ages. And now in this, it'll dovetail right into these seven seals that we're coming to speak. And the seven seals that we're trying to speak of when I come this time, is the seven written seals. And these seven seals, as you know, is just the manifestation of the seven angels of the seven churches. But there are seven other seals that's on the back side of the Book, that's outside the Bible. Notice, we'll get to it in a moment.

 

III. NON CORRECTED ERRORS

Regarding the speculative study of his December 22, 1962 experience and vision, at his home in Jeffersonville, he heard only one terrible thunderclap, one as he puts it:

1. “Is this the time of end, Sir?”

347.  Oh, church, could it be? Are we that far? Friends, think. Maybe... I hope it isn't, but what if it is? What was that blast? Before God and this open Bible, I lie not. Blast that shook the earth, and when the first seal of the seven that was opened in the Bible, it come forth, just one, but a blast that shook the whole thing: a thunder. (IS.THIS.THE.SIGN.OF.THE.END.SIR_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-11  SUNDAY_  62-1230E)

 

2. “The Seventh Seal”

266.  Remember the constellation of the vision of the Angels when I left here to go to Arizona? You remember, "What Time Is It, Sirs?" Do you remember that? Notice, there was only one great burst of thunder, and seven Angels appeared. Is that right? One burst of thunder, seven Angels appeared. And I saw the Lamb when He had opened the First Seal, and I heard as it was a voice of a thunder, and one of the four beasts said, Come and see.

 

3. “The Reproach for The Cause of the Word”

27.  But here they come. And they were so terrifically fast, till I thought when it lifted up... I heard that explosion like, or like a blast that went out, like a sound barrier; and when it did, I thought, "Well, this must mean that I'm fixing to be killed (See?) in a blast of some sort." And--and I--and while I thought on those things, I thought, "No, it wouldn't be that, because if it was a blast, it would've got Joseph too, because there he is still talking, thinking that I'm there. I can hear him. It wasn't that."

 

4. “Souls That are Now in Prison Now”

129      And what about you, church, that about six or eight months ago here, and standing here, saying, "It's THUS SAITH THE LORD, that I'm going to Tucson, Arizona. There will be a blast, and seven Angels will appear." You remember? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] Not even... God making it so real until the Look magazine took the pictures of it. Spiritual, foresaw, materialized just exactly the same, the seven Angels, which brought forth the winding up of all the Scriptures. Cause, all the mysteries of the entire Bible lays in the Seven Seals. We know that That is the--the Book, Its seal, with That evened out. It's the mystery of the entire Book, laid in those Seven Seals, that the Lord let us bring.

 

5. “The First Seal”

165    Now, He's come to claim His Own. So He takes the Book, stands out there before John, and He pulls it back, and breaks the Seal, pulls the Seal down; and when He pulls the Seal down, a thunder clapped through the place. And when a thunder clapped, no doubt John might've jumped up in the air, when a thunder roared; and then one of the four beasts said, "Now, come and see what it is, what's revealed beneath here. (Oh, my.) John, write what you see."

In the Scriptures, this is only recorded in one place, and it is found in Revelation 6 the perfect answer from chapter 5.

Now, after teaching that a Biblical vision is to be placed in the scriptures or be a continuation of the scriptures, he will endeavor seek to study Revelation 10 which is none of his concern at all! This is a serious, uncorrected and unrecognized error.

He was not to consider Revelation chapter 10 for in there, it is the about the 7 thunders and not a thunder which is in chapter 6. Even in “The Breach between the 7 ages of the Church and the 7 seals”, it is the chapter 5 which had to be considered and not the chapter 10. This is another serious mistake.

The questions he asks himself in “Is this the time of end, Sir?” are also the monumental errors, not corrected in part, for instance:

1. On the 7 thunders
2. On the Opening of the Book which takes place in Chap 6 and not Chap 10.

TODAY, WHAT ARE WE TRYING TO DO?

Are we trying to preach and teach Brother Branham's mistakes or are we trying to put the Word of the Lord in the hearts of the people? ...
